Traffic Control With Benefits

TRMI designs and installs automatic vehicle identification (AVI) systems to monitor, identify, and collect information on the overall movement of traffic and the actions of individual vehicles. Our AVI systems not only help you improve your traffic flow, they streamline your control functions, improve the efficiency of your operations and reduce a primary source of air pollution by cutting down on the number of idling vehicles.

No matter the size of your airport, TRMI's integrated systems will deliver the benefits of total control of your commercial traffic and enhance your patrons' curbside experience. Each system we install is designed and built in a working partnership with our clients to insure that the system is custom-fitted to their precise needs. Our systems help you eliminate traffic bottlenecks and provide an array of automated functions, such as dispatch, that make controlling commercial traffic easier and more efficient.

With over three decades of experience in AVI and revenue collection systems, TRMI will design and deliver a system that will move you into the 21st century of ground traffic management and beyond. Utilizing progressive design and fulfillment techniques, our Transportation Management Systems also:

  • promote and integrate alternative ground transportation options
  • enhance travel community outreach and inclusion
  • transparently improve airport and roadway security
  • allow custom scheduling and dispatch for accessible vehicles
  • provide customized monitoring and tracking of non-dispatched traffic such as limos and buses
  • provide cargo tracking and access control
  • deliver combined security for, and increased revenue from, commercial traffic

TRMI Was Chosen by LAX

TRMI was commissioned to replace the AVI system at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Under this contract, TRMI is developing and installing an all-new GTMS to collect and process data from over 9,500 daily vehicle trips to the airport. The data will be used to invoice commercial vehicle operators and to monitor commercial vehicle traffic.

The TRMI system will count all vehicles in and out of the central terminal area and provide a website interface where commercial vehicle operators will be able to view and manage their accounts. TRMI is providing state-of-the-art equipment and sophisticated custom programming to LAX, representing a substantial upgrade of their systems. The new TRMI system will also enable the airport to achieve compliance with State of California interoperability standards.
