From 2010-2011, TRMI created an integrated parking system for Cameron County Parks. The comprehensive electronic access system provides parking access for five park areas on South Padre Island and mainland in Cameron County, Texas. This custom designed system uses magnetic stripe tickets and SIRIT®RF window stickers to automate and control RV and camping space reservations for all five properties. Features include: databases, gates, loops, terminals, web applications, video cameras, digital recorders, outdoor payment kiosks, and more. A sophisticated, yet easy to use system introduces a wide array of advanced technologies for the parks’ operations. Oracle® databases and Cisco® networking security implement the most current web-browser-based application. It runs using high-security virtual private networks. The objective and outcome of Cameron County Parks is to make the parks complex tasks easier and more efficient.
