TRMI Toll Collection Systems

Toll Collection Systems

Since the 1970s, TRMI has been producing toll collection systems, equipment, and solutions, including E-ZPass systems for public and private organizations. In 1981, TRMI designed and installed the first all solid-state electronic toll collection system in the United States at the Golden Gate Bridge and has since installed toll collection systems from Norway to Australia. This work has given TRMI a wide base of experience with and knowledge of all facets of toll collection solutions.

TRMI was founded in 1974 to manufacture axle-counting treadles originally designed by Taller and Cooper Engineers for toll collection authorities. Since then, we have installed a wide array of sophisticated, and often highly specialized, toll collection systems throughout the US and in several other countries. Our wide base of experience with custom-integrated toll solutions means that we can build an efficient and cost-effective toll system for you.

Key features of our toll collection systems are achieved by promoting a balance of custom components and off-the-shelf-products. Our philosophy holds that the key to an optimum (price/performance) toll collection solution is in selecting and matching proven products and customized software tailored to the customer's unique requirements.
