Our Alphanumeric Collector Terminal integrates a 4X40 LCD display with a custom designed keyboard, all in the same modular Stainless Steel enclosure. Designed for the rugged environment found in the Toll lane, the display, keyboard and enclosure are individually sealed against water, dust, soot and most other contaminants.
The 4 line, 40 character display is back-lit by a unique woven fiber optical back light system, illuminated by an economical and long lasting Halogen bulb. The bulb is field replaceable, reducing repair costs dramatically. Character height of 9.5mm, combined with Super-Twist technology and a transflective background make this a highly visible and easily read presentation point for all transaction data.
The toll terminal keyboard features an ergonomically designed stainless steel housing, user friendly keypad, is plug compatible with the standard PC keyboard and plugs directly into the Lane Computer. Twenty five function keys allow for a wide range of vehicle classifications, method of payment keys for [CASH], [NON-REVENUE], and [CHARGE], special function keys including [STANDBY], [MISCLASS] and [RECEIPT]. A separate 10 digit numeric keypad for manual number entry, [LOGON/LOGOFF], [YES] and [NO] keys permit message acknowledgement and opening/closing initiation from the keyboard. The keyboard is customizable for differing key requirements and is environmentally protected by a membrane housing cover.
As part of its modular design, TRMI also offers direct connectable receipt printers, magnetic card readers and barcode readers. All of these items can be incorporated into the basic design to form a single modular component.
