The TRMI Touch Screen Toll Terminal is an interactive device, which accepts toll collector inputs via a custom designed keyboard, and provides information to the collector via a standard video display. The terminal is completely modular in design, allowing quick and easy replacement of parts. Coupled with a receipt printer and magnetic card reader, the terminal represents the "front line" in your toll collection operation. Proven through years of in-lane operations, this computer-based terminal provides the versatility to meet today's needs as well as the needs of tomorrow.
The toll terminal keyboard features an ergonomically designed stainless steel housing, user-friendly keypad is plug compatible with the standard PC keyboard and plugs directly into the Lane Computer. Twenty five function keys allow for a wide range of vehicle classifications, method of payment keys for [CASH], [NON-REVENUE], and [CHARGE], special function keys including [STANDBY], [MISCLASS] and [RECEIPT]. A separate 10 digit numeric keypad for manual number entry, [LOGON/LOGOFF], [YES] and [NO] keys permit message acknowledgement and opening/closing initiation from the keyboard. The keyboard is customizable for differing key requirements and is environmentally protected by a membrane housing cover.
The standard display unit is a 14-inch VGA full color monitor. The display presents, in large easy to read characters, the current vehicle class, fare, expected axles, and other pertinent information. In the standard operation this display unit is capable of showing 80 characters horizontal by 25 lines vertical. An adjustable swivel base, integral contrast and brightness controls and an optional polarized glare filter allow the Toll Collector to adjust the display to his or her height, viewing angle and light conditions.
