TRMI is a distributor for the Automatic Systems BL-23 high speed gate. With a 3-meter tubular aluminum arm, the open time can be set to under one second, making the BL-23 well suited for Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) without the cost of video enforcement and violation processing fees. With the gate located a car length downstream from the Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) read zone, speeds over 30 MPH can be achieved.
The close time can be independently set to a longer period for increased safety and reduced wear. To prevent damage, the gate arm is held with a swing-away pivot. This allows for a horizontal swing if the arm is struck by a vehicle. This reduces vehicle damage, personal injury, and gate arm costs. The gate can be interfaced to photo-eye beams, proximity sensors, and vehicle presence loops to inhibit closing to protect pedestrians, motorcycles, cars and trailers.
To minimize cost of operation, TRMI supplies the gate with a round rather than oval arm clamp which allows the use of a lower cost replacement arm and a re-useable arm insert and bearings. The utility arm is a specially dimensioned, thin-wall extrusion and is furnished with an unpainted silver finish, with reflective tape at intervals along the arm.
