In late August, Juan Olaguibel, Director of Operations from the McAllen-Hidalgo and Anzalduas International Bridges, traveled to TRMI’s Headquarters in Accord, NY to facilitate the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). TRMI was awarded the International Bridge Toll Revenue Systems Upgrade contract in February 2017, consisting of upgrading software to include TRMI’s latest Sentinel Toll Collection System. A FAT is conducted prior to installation of the equipment to ensure the system’s full functionality and its ability to satisfy criteria. During the FAT, Mr. Olaguibel was able to experience the system in real time while monitoring real traffic scenarios, demonstrating that the system’s design meets McAllen’s specifications and requirements. The FAT was approved on August 29th and authorization was given for installation.
