Los Angeles World Airports Contract Awarded to TRMI

Posted on Posted in News

On June 20, 2017, TRMI was awarded the contract to provide Operations and Maintenance Support Services for the Automatic Vehicle Identification System at Los Angeles International Airport, to ensure the system’s full functionality, including hardware, software, and magnetic loop coils.

The AVI System is used to count vehicle traffic and to register, track, and monitor vehicle activity for all commercial ground transportation operators in and around the LAX Central Terminal Area. The AVI System is monitored and operates 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Routine monitoring, maintenance, and timely repairs of the AVI System are critical to ensure continuous operation and data collection, resulting in an average annual revenue of approximately $10 million.

Our relations with Los Angeles World Airports began in 2010, when TRMI was awarded the contract to replace their AVI System. In 2012 the contract was extended for another year, for additional enhancements and modifications to their system. In 2014, TRMI was awarded the contract to provide Operations and Maintenance Support Services at LAX.

TRMI is excited to continue with our long working history with Los Angeles World Airports while maintaining their AVI system!
