TRMI installed an upgraded, customized, and comprehensive toll collection system in 2013, managing the collection of tolls and border crossings in three locations.
The El Paso TCS encompasses our fully graphical lane user interface and our feature web-based administrative user interface (Plaza Admin). This system is unique in that it includes pedestrian kiosks for purchasing tickets in various denominations which are later used for crossing. It is also comprised of a collector web-based interface specifically for the kiosks with various remote lane commands. Other unique features consist of holiday and special rate (time of day) fare schedules, bank deposit entries by account, and a staff scheduling application within Plaza Admin. The El Paso system supports US cash, MX Peso, AVI, ticket, credit card, and non-revenue transactions. It features our On-Line Accounts (OLA), a website where El Paso’s patrons can replenish their accounts with a credit card and view/print monthly statements. This system is a single plaza configuration with vehicle and pedestrian lanes at 3 physical plazas with a total of 32 lanes, each housing a video camera. The video can be reviewed for any transaction for auditing purposes via the Plaza Admin application. The system is a combination of industrial and office PCs working in unison to acquire, process and store toll collection data. The system provided the ability to remotely monitor bridges activity from workstations located at the City of El Paso Street Department. This TCS provided El Paso with a single central server attached via WAN to control operations of 3 separate international bridges, Zaragoza, Stanton Street, and Santa Fe.
TRMI has been El Paso’s toll integrator since 2003, maintaining and updating their revenue collection systems through numerous change orders and upgrades.
TRMI presently maintains the El Paso system with routine maintenance services.
